I am a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the behavioral health field for 15 years, and specializes in the treatment of pre-teens (10-12), adolescents, and adults. 

Some of my clinical interests include anxiety, existential crisis, LGBTQ-related issues, depression, trauma, self-harming behaviors, self-esteem issues, life transitions, psychosis, and grief & loss. 

Yes, I accept Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHeathcare, and UPMC Health Plans.

I'm from Arizona, and that is where I studied psychology in my undergraduate work at the University of Arizona before receiving my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Arizona State University in 2012. I moved to Seattle, Washington, which is where I took my clinical exams. My experience there was serving people in homeless shelters, children on the inpatient psych unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and children and adults in outpatient primary care clinics. 

In 2018, my family and I moved across country to beautiful western PA! After working at a group practice during the pandemic, and after taking time to be a stay-at-home-parent, I decided to build my dream job and open my own practice, Aldar Counseling, LLC.
